Data Visualization using R programming Language
About This Course
This course is an introduction to data visualization and will apply three main frameworks for data visualization in R. The three areas are base, lattice, and ggplot. By the end of the course, students will be able to
- Create summary statistics for a single group and different groups
- Generate graphical display of data: histograms, QQ-plots, box plots, bar plots, empirical cumulative distribution, dot charts, and pie charts.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion, participants will be able to:
create various graphical summaries of data
describe the “grammar” of ggplot2 functions
build custom visualizations with ggplot2
Material Includes
- A laptop, stable internet access, installation of Rstudio on your computer, and Zoom for teleconferencing
Requirements
- Installation of Rstudio on your computer
